Tennis Championship Grand Slam

Tennis is a sport played all the year round and there are hundreds of Tournaments available all over the World. It is in fact one of the most cosmopolitan sports played and there are very few countries that do not have players on either the mens or women's tennis circuits. Usually the mens and ladies tournaments are organised separately but in Grand Slam events, the mens and ladies championships are organised concurrently at the same venue. All four Slams use different playing surfaces,

Australian Open

This takes place in January and is known as the ‘Happy Slam’. It is played at the magnificent Melbourne Park venue in Australia’s Capital City of Sport, Melbourne. The tournament uses the new plexi-cushion surface, which is fast and delivers a truer tennis ball bounce. The objective of the surface was to encourage more serve & volley play at the tournament. Current mens Champion is Novak Djokovic and the Ladies Champion is Maria Sharapova, both of which will figure in the betting odds this year.

French Open

French Open TennisThe French Open is played at the Roland Gaross Stadium in Paris in June and signals the end of the Clay court season. It is the biggest clay court event of the year and makes for absorbing tennis, particularly for baseline players. Current mens Champion is Rafael Nadal and the Ladies is held by Ana Ivanovic.

Wimbledon Open Championship

US Open
