David Ferrer

Spaniard David Ferrer, is a full of fight Tennis player, who only concedes defeat after he has fought his heart out. He is a clay court specialist, but recently he has some excellent hard court results, particularly his semi final appearance at the US Open in 2007, where he lost to Novak Djokovic. He is a hard hitting, right handed player who prefers to attack from the baseline. He has a fearsome double handed backhand that produces spectacular winners on a regular basis.

He had an excellent year in 2007, winning three ATP Tournaments and finishing runner up in another. He reached the quarter final at Australian Open last year and before that was a semi-finalist at the US Open. He won the Valencia Open in April 2008 and then in May 2008 he reached the final in Barcelona losing in a tough match against Rafael Nadal,in three sets. He is currently ranked number 12 player in the world and is actually a 100/1 in the Australian Open Odds to win the title. These are good each way odds for a man who on his day is a very difficult player to beat.
