Serena Williams has won three of these, and is favourite to win a fourth in the betting. Sadly the current champion, Maria Sharapova will be unable to defend her crown due to injury, leaving Serna with an even greater chance.. Current world number one, Jelena Jankovic has never won a Grand Slam, so there must be questions raised about her chances, and she was beaten by Serena in the final of the US Open last September. Reigning French Open Champion, Ana Ivanovic, who was runner-up last year, has suffered badly from a serious loss of form and although she will still be another one of the favourites to win, there are many doubts.
