Andy Roddick

Andy Roddick is the top ranked American on Tour and is currently ranked 8th in the world. He has been a Grand Slam winner, when winning the US Open in 2003 and he has appeared in three other Grand Slam Finals, losing in the US Open Final in 2006 and twice at Wimbledon in 2004 and 2005. He lost all his Grand Slam finals to Roger Federer. His best performance at the Australian Open has been his three semi finals in 2003, 2005 and 2007, if that sequence continues he should make the semi finals again this year. Andy is principally a forceful baseline player who hits the ball very hard. His serve is probably the fastest on the Tour and it wins him many cheap points. He usually targets the corners to win his aces and he would be a good bet to serve up the most aces in the Australian Open this year.
